Berry Gummies
Berries are a good source of antioxidants, which are compounds that help protect your body against damage caused by free radicals. Free radicals are unstable molecules that can damage cells and contribute to the development of chronic diseases such as cancer and heart disease.
Berries are also a good source of fiber, which can help to support digestive health and keep you feeling full and satisfied.
Some berries, such as blueberries and raspberries, are also a good source of vitamin C, a nutrient that helps to support the immune system and protect against illness.
They are also a good source of nutrients such as vitamin K, manganese, and copper.
In addition, berries are low in calories and contain very little fat, making them a good choice for people who are trying to manage their weight.
Overall, incorporating berries into your diet can help to support your overall health and well-being.
Here’s how to make organic berry gummies:
Ingredients
- 1 cup mixed organic berries (such as strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries)
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 tablespoons Manuka honey
- 3 tablespoons grass-fed gelatin
Price: $39.94 ($2.27 / Ounce)
8 used & new available from $35.88 ($2.04 / Ounce)
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine the mixed berries and water. Heat over a medium heat until the berries are soft and have released their juices, about five to seven minutes.
- Using a blender or food processor, purée the berry mixture until it’s smooth.
- Pour the purée back into the saucepan and add the honey. Heat over a medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture comes to a boil.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat and sprinkle the gelatin over the berry mixture, stirring until the gelatin is fully dissolved.
- Pour the mixture into a silicone gummy bear mold or a small glass dish lined with parchment paper. Place the mold or dish in the refrigerator for at least two hours or until the gummies are set.
- Once set, remove the gummies from the mold or cut them into desired shapes using a sharp knife. Store the gummies in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
